Seven male students in Federal Government College, Ijaniki, Lagos State, have been alleged for lodging their female colleagues in their hostels for sex romps, and have threesomes.
The students who are between the ages of 14 and 17, and are boarders, were said to be jumping the fence of the school and thereby abcond to their hostels in order to have the sexcapades with the female colleagues.
The school management got to know about their frequent sexual immoralities when a student got pregnant.
When their secret became exposed to the management, it was learnt that the students always had threesomes. They also took hard drugs, such as; molly, cocaine, just to mention a few.
The male students are numbered as 7 while their female counterparts are 5. From what was learnt, it was stated that the sexual act has been prevalent among the said students. And they had been leaving the school unnoticed for more than 3 academic sessions.
Some parents have aired their views concerning the sex escapades among the students, with some having the belief that some staff would be aware of the sexual happenings in the school by the student.
“This is happening because of the negligence of the principal and the housemasters and mistress. If something like that goes hidden, my children are in that school; they can become victims.”
Another parent, Johnson Smith, said the school failed in its duty to protect students in boarding houses.
He said, “The management needs to intensify efforts at cleansing the school because these bad eggs will corrupt our children. Something urgent needs to be done in ensuring that discipline is restored.”
“There is a possibility that some staff are also involved in the whole atrocities because how will a secondary school student leave the school environment for days without anyone noticing? Some of the staff are benefiting from it somehow,” he added.
