Six medical sciences students in 100 level, University of Calabar (UNICAL), passed out yesterday during Chemistry examination.
The students fainted as a result of the overcrowding in the examination venue. It was learnt that the affected students are all in medical sciences.
They passed out as a result of their struggle to get into the hall which proved abortive. Consequently, they fainted. However, their fellow students quickly rushed them to the hospital.
The video that went viral yesterday, February 9 contained the rowdiness and the inability of the students to enter into the venue due to overcrowding.
A student who was an eyewitness of the turbulent scene stated, “At least six students passed out today while we were taking the chemistry exam. The crowd was too much, and people were literally falling on themselves.”
