The suspected cult Clash in Nnamdi Azikiwe University gate, Ifite-Awka, Awka, Anambra state, has caused the lives of three persons.
The report reaching Emeritus Hub indicated that no fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead in which two were students of the school. The two student victims were identified as members of the two cult groups that clashed with each other.
Recall that the capital city of Anambra, Akwa, and Nnamdi Azikiwe University have been the havens of cultists over the years. They have been committing several atrocities, killing and having several cult clashes in the state. In December 2022, a man, named Slami Ifeanyi, an artist, was killed in a cult related killing in his SUV car.
However, many are of the opinion that the management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University needs to look into cult related issues in the school. Cult clashes in UNIZIK are now incessant, and something needs to be done if the university does not want the chicken to come home to roost.
